It streamlines the quoting and renewal process, so agents can spend less time collecting and transferring client data, and more time advising clients on risk. 

Job Description

We are seeking a CTO (Chief Technology Officer) to join our team. The CTO will play an integral role in setting the company’s strategic direction, development and future growth of the company.

You’re a great fit for this position if you have extensive experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment serving as CTO, Sr developer, or similar role. Your work will be instrumental to the execution of the RiskAdvisor roadmap. We’ve invested our first year proving concepts with independent agencies and building out our GTM (go-to-market) strategy. Now, we’re preparing to grow and scale.

As CTO, you will work with the Founder to execute business strategy, and you will be responsible for overseeing our technology development and managing RiskAdvisor’s technology resources.

What You’ll Do at RiskAdvisor:

  • Work in the code on a daily basis
  • Lead strategy for technology platforms, partnerships and external relationships
  • Identify, compare, select and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs
  • Create overall tech standards and practices to ensure adherence
  • Consolidate our tech platforms and create plans for each
  • Track, analyze and monitor technology performance metrics
  • Oversee system design changes in system architecture
  • Stay up-to-date on new trends and best practices in the technology landscape
  • Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation and creativity
  • Work closely with the Founder to define and deliver new product features and enhancements 

 What You Need:

  • 5 years of experience previously working as a CTO, Sr developer, or similar role

  • 3+ Years of Laravel Experience
  • 2+ Years of Vue.JS Experience
  • Tailwind CSS Experience
  • In-depth knowledge of web systems architecture, design and development

  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Effective negotiation and vendor management skills

  • Proactive problem solver

  • Attention to detail

  • Experience in insurance / insurtech is a plus
